Back in 2016 I was sealing my layered art with finish coats of Art Resin and I had this great idea to keep going and add more art work on top and more resin. This opened another whole new world with drop shadows and floating pieces like birds, trees and giving my work an even more 3 dimensional look.

I notice the layers looked more elevated and separate from layers below when the gold leaf was applied to the edges of each art pieces.

In the past I have used 12k White Gold for the waterfalls, but now I prefer to use 21K Moon Gold. This genuine gold has a nicer luster than the white gold.

On Kauai we have so many beautiful waterfalls and this keeps me inspired to paint more water art. The most impressive waterfall I've ever seen was during at hike up Half Dome in Yosemite during the spring snow melt. This waterfall was just so raw and powerful and opened my eyes to how water is not just at a powerful state in the ocean.
